1. Oven Cleaner

1 part bicarbonate of soda x 1 part water

Mix the two ingredients into a paste and cover the oven’s surfaces with it. Leave the paste overnight. Remove it with a spatula and wash with a wet sponge.

2. Citrus Disinfectant

Peel from 1 citrus fruit x 700ml white vinegar x water

Mix the peel and vinegar and let it sit for two weeks, shaking occasionally. Strain the vinegar, removing the peel and put one cup in a spray bottle. Fill the rest of the bottle with water and use.

3. Abrasive Cleaning Powder

700ml of bicarbonate of soda x 240ml of egg shells ground up

Dry the egg shells in the sun before grinding them up with a pestle and mortar with the baking soda.

4. Drain Un-blocker

475ml of boiling water x 240ml of vinegar x 475 of bicarbonate of soda

First pour one cup of baking soda down the drain, followed with 1 cup of boiling water. Next pour 1 cup of baking soda down the drain, followed with 1 cup of vinegar. Plug the drain, wait for the bubbles to die down, and add the rest of the boiling water.

5. Grout cleaner

80ml of lemon juice x 120ml of baking soda x 60ml vinegar

Mix the ingredients in a bucket, apply to grout and leave for 60 seconds before using a scrubbing brush to remove it.

6. Furniture polish

1 part olive oil x 1 part vinegar

Mix the two ingredients, apply to your furniture, and use a soft cloth to polish.

7. Glass & Window Cleaner

120ml of rubbing alcohol (70% concentration) x 240ml of water x 1-2 drops of orange essential oil

Mix the ingredients in a spray bottle and spray the mixture on a cloth before using. The orange oil will give the solution a pleasant scent, and the other ingredients will get rid of lime.
